Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress, who made headlines by playing Buffy Summers in the cult Buffy the vampire Slayer Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales and the very short-lived NBC show of the same nameErica Paget in CBS Drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. Born in California, Swanson discovered her love for acting when an early child. Her career began in advertising, where she appeared in several commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance on screen in an episode of the sitcom on NBC called It's Your Move. She debuted on the big screen two years later in the romance comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan is most well-known for her blonde hair and the breathless voice that she employs. In recent years, Swan has moved to performing in the role of secondary characters. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
