While I had one baby on me and others with me in the cradle worked 12 hours a day cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, however we were nowhere near done. It would take a great deal of effort and an enthusiasm for shopping. To keep in my budget, I took my boys along to search for gems hidden in estate sales. The weekly ritual was that we would walk through estate and garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays, purchasing a mix of new and old pieces. When our house was furnished, I still couldn't give up! I had a space on the local market, and even sold some items there. My collection eventually grew to the point that the space that I was living in was inadequate. Then I began hosting open houses in my home where over 1 000 people came through on a single weekend and could purchase anything they wanted on the first floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Apart from my successful company, I also started our family. The balance between work and family was crucial to me. I wished to be a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days just fit. It was in 2013 when my lovely daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth child. This was a fantastic direction for my business, however, I needed a vacation. I decided to step back and stay at home, spending time with my family. That was precisely what I was looking for. It rang once more after some time. I began receiving calls from people asking me for assistance with home improvements and design of interiors. The majority of people who contacted me were from those who visited my home at one of the furniture open houses. In the course of my work, I added clients each day. But it wasn't that long before I was managing many clients and operated an extremely successful business of home renovation. It is likely that I would have laughed if I had been told that the venture was going to be the premise of an upcoming tv program on DIY Network. As I think about the circumstances, I find myself laughing.
