April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born July 4th in 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking piano and guitar lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm to write songs. At the age of 12 April wrote her first song Different. At 14 old, she spent long hours making song concepts and perfecting her music. In the following months, April started to take trips in NY and LA along with her dad so that they could both compose songs. April also began to include additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing with such things as peer pressure disabilities and even teen suicide in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle influencer, as well as having partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia she has gained her own audience. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is what makes her who she is. It's just not all the facts. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't shy away from the fact that she is disabled and does not concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. It's a reminder. The message? We have many different aspects, that our physical and identity self aren't as they appear. Lockhart, via video message from Nashville home, states that I do not want that to be a part of me. I'm much far more than just my physical self. But it does not affect my daily living. I still do all the normal things and have adjusted to my disabilities. This is also part of my personality, and that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart, a real inspiration for self-acceptance in general and is currently on a lengthy road to reach this. She admits that she's been through phases of her body and sometimes being unsure about wearing particular types of clothes showing how much of her body. She dresses according to her preferences and is proud to post pictures of herself wearing the clothes she picks out on social media. It's all a process is what I don't know that will ever be the end of self-love. It's true for all regardless of their levels of anxiety. People you associate yourself with who truly know your personal story and who can look into your heart are the ones you should be relying on to remind you of what you're concerned about.
