Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being awarded 10/10 marks in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach later in life she discovered her when she was six. Her first competitive event was the National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she took home the title. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for junior athletes before the Olympics she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all aspects. She won four gold and one silver medals at her debut competition as a senior that took place in 1975. This was the first time she participated as a senior. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. Her first professional gig was figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. These shows included skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
