Gina Joy Carano began her career as a Muay Thai fighter. She was also dubbed The Face of Women's MMA. Her first job was as a Muay Thai athlete and earned the title of The Face for women's MMA. She is a Muay Thai competitor with a record that includes 12 wins, 1 loss, and one draw. It's the first American to win an Muay Thai title in Thailand. When she was growing up she was a ballet jazz tap and gymnastics. She was also a pro at volleyball, basketball and softball. Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling as well as other martial arts are also part of her training. The result is seven wins and one loss in her MMA. The power and agility she displayed when in the ring, along with her easygoing personality and her beautiful appearance made her a huge MMA celebrity. She's appeared as an actor in Hollywood blockbusters such as Haywire, Fast & Furious 6' and other Hollywood hit films. Her work was often criticized for using her sex attraction. The fans continued to show their admiration despite brutal criticism. She has inspired many due to her undeniable talent strong character and determination.
